Green Committee – Call for Volunteers

The OTENA Board of Trustees is organizing a “Green Committee,” and is asking for volunteers to join this very important group! Are you passionate about alternative transportation, local foods, or recycling? Do you have what it takes to help develop and administer the long-term “GREEN” goals for the neighborhood? Then join the Green Committee and help make Olde Towne East a leader among neighborhoods in earth-friendly initiatives.

The general goals of the committee will be to:

  • Administer the long-term plan for the Community Garden on Oak St.
  • Advocate for green initiatives and programs throughout the neighborhood
  • Develop and plan earth-friendly events
  • Invite speakers to educate residents

The Green Committee will meet once/month on the last Tuesday. The kickoff is scheduled for Tuesday, May 31st, 2011 at 7pm in the Olde Towne East Community Garden at 775 Oak St. If interested in attending the first meeting of the Green Committee, please send us an email.
